Andy Burnham Visit

We had a fantastic time this weekend with Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham who was at the gallery this Friday promoting the works of our talented local artists. Andy had a good look round at all the artwork, and met with local artists too. Jonathan Reynolds MP was also here, and he was impressed by all the art ūüôā

Anniversary!

Hello art lovers! We will soon be looking forward to the 20th Anniversary of The People’s Gallery! To celebrate this event, we will be hosting a special afternoon at the gallery on Friday 21st June from 12pm, where Manchester’s Mayor Andy Burnham will be here to help us celebrate, along with other guests. There will be a special window display from our favorite local artists, (list to follow) and this will also follow on for a month, so no excuses not to come along! Please spread the word ‚Äďthere will be refreshments too ‚Äď so you can have a cheeky glass of wine whilst viewing some beautiful artworks! More to come…

Lucky Dip ‚ÄstFind the Golden Ticket!

We have an exciting opportunity coming soon, with the chance to purchase an original piece of artwork from each of our members for only ¬£1! The soon to be named ‘art-vending machine’ will dispense original art uniquely created by a selection of our members for only ¬£1. One of the artworks will contain a golden ticket ‚Äst this will give the lucky winner a chance to choose any framed giclee print by our resident artist Gordon Clegg.

100% of funds from the machine go towards keeping The People’s Gallery open, without these donations, we would not be able to survive. We are also planning to donate funds from the lucky dip machine periodically to popular local charities ‚Äď we will notify everyone when we are doing this in advance. Everyone’s a winner ‚Äď Watch this space!
